Artists Solo Shows

The Seyff space is available for short-term shows by established artists organizing their own solo or two-person exhibitions. This program is separate from the curated open call. Where the open call is selective, free to apply, and runs on Seyff's curatorial calendar, the rental program is on the artist's calendar — for artists who have a body of work ready, a timeline that doesn't fit our open-call cycles, or a vision that benefits from full curatorial autonomy.

Best fit for: artists with prior solo or two-person exhibition history, a cohesive body of work ready to install, professional installation standards, and the capacity to run the exhibition end-to-end. Mid-career artists, artists with active gallery representation elsewhere, and artists organizing a specific project (book launch, residency outcome, retrospective survey, traveling show) tend to be the strongest fit.

What's included: exclusive use of the gallery footprint for the rental period, existing lighting, basic installation tools, a single Seyff contact for logistics, and an opening (and closing) reception slot if desired.

What's not included: curatorial input, installation labor, framing, transportation, promotion, photography, sales handling, or staffing during the run. The artist runs the exhibition; Seyff provides the room. Note Seyff does retain its right to show images of work displayed unless otherwise agreed to.

Vetting: all rental inquiries go through a brief portfolio and project review — not selection in the curatorial sense, but a check that the artist's work and intentions are a fit for the studio's broader brand. Most reviews are completed within a week.

Rental periods: reviewed on a rolling basis, scheduled around Seyff's class and current exhibit calendar. Pricing upon request.

Inquire: Fill out our form here and include your website/social media page, proposed dates, and a brief description of the exhibition you're planning.
